~ Thunder Dream ~
Unphased
by the Earth’s sinew
sonic symbols leap across valleys,
bound over peaks
twist with
the winding wind,
meandering the land
and the seas.
Light
shattering the horizon
ignites another dimension
Billowing clouds mount,
hastening in their ascension
towards the seam where
Sky and Heaven
meet.
Again,
for the first time
Here, risen on both feet
Awakened with the sun
After diving
deep.
Realizing…
you can never return
to who you used to be
before you heard
the Thunder Dream

Heart is where
my home is now
No longer painted white
Curtains parted, folds tied back
to let in ALL the light.
Delivering me
to that moment of reverie…
Where I met with the Monarch Butterfly
Embracing the s p a c e between us
Grokking the way she moves
sans flesh as my witness.
O, how whimsically
her gossamer wings glide
upon the whirling light
In awe of how I almost missed her gift…
and would have had I not
dared to see inside.
But during the time
I was blinded by such a radiant sight
I exulted in the warmth upon my palms
faithfully raised to the sky.

Primary are these colors
casting pattern on our lives
Some we wish we could retrieve
if only we could reel back time.
Like that fateful day,
now so far away
when the perfect storm did form
and I was forced to abandon my ship
leaving me out to sea
all on my own.
With no way
to get back home,
Great darkness washing over me,
nearly drowning me
In order to remain extant
I had to learn to swim at depths
much deeper than
I had ever been
before.
Now,
to this day
no matter what these tides
may bring or take away
I live like I always have
Re~membering all ways at home
will always be
the best
way.
